Morgan Harris Architects Ltd is a Director only practice set up in 2003 to serve selected Clients in delivering bespoke projects across a range of sectors.  We have a high success rate with Planning Applications, Listed Building Consents and Appeals, often succeeding where others haven't.  Our approach is tailored to suit each individual project and we enjoy the creative process combined with physical delivery of concepts as beautifully crafted spaces for our Clients to enjoy.

190 CHISWICK HOME

2018

We created a bespoke home for a family in Chiswick by adding a substantial basement,  rear & side extensions and completely re-designing the interior of the existing property.  We split the proposal into multiple applications to ensure success.

260 MAYFAIR APARTMENT

2020

We re-designed an existing apartment, preparing and implementing  a carefully crafted design that increased the usable area, created a further bedroom and made the spaces internally flow in a far more elegant manner.  Listed Building Consent, Planning Permission and Freeholder Consent all gained within a tight time frame.

181 RICHMOND HILL STUDIO & FLAT

2017

Our Clients asked whether their garage could be altered to accommodate a writing Studio.  We designed a Modern and a Classical option, both adding a storey utilising a slender steel frame insertion; both designs were approved.  Our Client selected the Classical design and we duly built this out for them.  We also re-designed their flat on Richmond Hill gaining necessary Planning Permission and Consents.

We re-modelled and extended this Islington townhouse by adding a Ground Floor rear extension, a Loft Conversion and completely re-designing the interior layout.

We were approached to re-design and extend this property above a retail premises in Holland Park.  We split the proposal into multiple applications and gained approval for a generous additional volume overall.  The design was tailored to suit our Client and we enjoyed seeing this built out.

147 KILKENNY COUNTRY HOME

2014

A previous Client approached us to design and assist in implementing an extensive extension and refurbishment project for this wonderful Country Estate in Ireland.  Our design involved adding a further wing, a gallery, a swimming pool complex, a master suite, a new cottage wing and the master-planning of landscaping and gardens.  We enjoyed seeing layers of work coming to completion.

2010

We enjoyed transforming a run down town house in Knightsbridge into a bespoke London retreat for a well known Art Dealer.  This was a very enjoyable project; the exuberant finishing touches, with extensive use of Gold and Silver leaf throughout reflect our Clients' personality.

130 MAYFAIR HOME

2012

We were Alexander (Lee) McQueen's personal Architect for many years until he sadly passed away in 2010.  We oversaw this project for the incoming purchaser of his home.  We added extensive square footage in a tight urban space by raising the garden level.  We completely transformed the interior layout and though we didn't see Lee's extensive and eccentric modern art collection within the new project it was a joy to see the works completed.

177 TWICKENHAM RIVERSIDE HOME

2019

This lodge, originally designed by Felix Duban for the Duc D'Aumale in 1859, was in complete disrepair.  We oversaw a detailed programme of restoration whilst also extending extensively to create a modern comfortable family home within the fabric of a unique historically important property.  We also built a small office within the garden to complement the property and re-designed the garden to suit the new status of the lodge as a single family dwelling.  We now live and work here at Orleans Lodge.

123 TWICKENHAM HOME

2012

This was our home from 2008-2013.  We bought a run down 1980's property and added a garden room, a rear extension and a mansard roof as well as generally re-building and re-designing all.  We undertook works in three tightly spaced phases phases to allow life to fit around programme.  We enjoyed living at Dove House and transforming a tired property into a lovely family home and a Studio for Morgan Harris Architects Ltd.

The Penthouse came to us as a dilapidated 1 bedroom flat and was transformed into a 2 Bedroom Open Plan Penthouse.  We obtained Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission for the alterations and brought light flooding into the property whilst upgrading acoustic and thermal insulation.

Our Client for an earlier project at this property asked us to return to add a loft conversion, a Second floor outrigger extension, a first floor extension and a full footprint basement extension.  We thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and utilised a split development path to achieve multiple planning permissions and were very happy with our Clients' positive feedback to their considerably extended family home.
